The vessels were identified as the Improved Kilo class submarine Krasnodar, the Steregushchy class corvettes Stoiky and Soobrazitelny, Buyan-M class corvette Orekhovo-Zuyevo as well as the Amur class repair vessel PM-82 and fleet oiler Akademik Pashin.

Steregushchy class corvettes Stoiky and Soobrazitelny departed the port of Algiers following a three day port visit.

Two Steregushchy class corvettes, identified by their AIS signal as the Stoiky and the Soobrazitelnyy, passed through the Strait of Gibraltar and entered the Mediterranean.
