Event Notes
Two Baltic Fleet minesweepers, identified by the Russian Ministry of Defense as the Pavel Khenov and the RT-25, were active near Saint Petersburg. As part of their anti-minewarfare training, both minesweepers had to ensure the safe passage of naval vessels moving out of the naval base through an enemy minefield. Both minesweepers searched a grid for both bottom and anchored sea mines which after detection were destroyed. As a final part of the exercise, the minesweepers used ship mounted machine guns to engage and destroy floating sea mines.

Event Notes
The Russian Ministry of Defence reported a minewarfare exercise conducted by the Minesweepers Pavel Khenov and RT-25. Both minesweepers were active on the training ranges in the Baltic Sea. The vessels trained in both laying mines as detecting and neutralizing them. Once the task was completed, the vessels took on the role of escort ship and escorted a hydrographic vessel through a corridor in the simulated minefield. The exercise was later followed by a anti-sabotage exercise while the vessels were at anchor. The crew dropped grenades and fired with small arms against a group of simulated enemy divers
