Steregushchy class corvettes Aldar Tsidenzhapov and Sovershenny of the Pacific Fleet were involved in an air defense exercise while being moored inside the naval base at Vladivostok. The vessels allegedly destroyed the electronically simulated air attack.

Steregushchy class corvette Sovershenny is reported conducting combat readiness exercises at an unspecified location in the Sea of Japan. According to the press statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The vessel used her AK-630 30mm close in weapon systems to engage a simulated minefield. This exercise was followed with an air defense exercise during which the Redut air defense system was engaged against a simulated incoming missile. The final part of the air defense exercise involved the activation of a decoy as part of the electronic warfare capabilities of the corvette.

Stereguschy class corvette Sovershenny and Improved Kilo class submarine Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky were involved in a simulated naval battle at an unspecified location in the Sea of Japan. The submarine was tasked with simulating a torpedo launch against the corvette. The Soverchenny was tasked with detecting and attacking the submarine. The outcome of the simulated naval battle was not reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, three Steregushy class corvettes conducted an air defense exercise in the naval base at Vladivostok. The corvettes were reported as the Sovershenny, Gromky and the Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsidenzhapov. The corvettes were tasked to defend the naval base and critical infrastructure against a simulated air attack by hostile unmanned aerial vehicles and engage these UAVs with their air defense systems. The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that the corvettes were able to destroy the simulated aircraft.
