The 76th Guards Chernogov Red Banner Air Assault Division is a Russian Airborne division based in Pskov. The division fought in the First Chechen War, Second Chechen War, Russo-Georgian War, the Donbas, and in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. They committed mass murder of civilians in Bucha and have been used as reserve forces on the frontline where Ukrainian forces have broken through.

They were responsible for carrying out the cleansing operation during the Bucha massacre where they arrested, tortured and murdered Ukrainian civilians. In September 2022, the 237th Guards Air Assault Regiment reportedly 'no longer existed due to either death or injury of all soldiers'.

As of September 2023, the division is operating on the Robotyne front where they have been brought in to provide defensive support to Russian units. The unit is doctrinally designed for rapid, lightly armored maneuver warfare. It is poorly suited to the intense, static and defensive fighting that is now expected of them.
