US claim to have credible evidence that a Russian military unit operating in the vicinity of Donetsk/Novomykhailivka executed Ukrainians who were attempting to surrender, rather than take them into custody.

Dozens of surrendering Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were shot by Russian soldiers of the 71st Motorized Regiment in mid-June.

These executions are part of a mounting list of war crimes Russia has been accused of committing.
